Warehouse Worker Job Description
Duties:
- To receive, pick and pack orders for shipment
- To load and unload delivery vehicles/trailers
- To rotate, count and keep records of stock
- To prepare and complete orders for delivery
- To check for damaged or missing items
- To build pallets, shippers, bulkers according to product/customer specifications
- To perform warehouse inventory controls via scanner or through computer
- To complete relevant paperwork
- To ensure timely dispatch of goods
- To move stock around by hand, using lifting gear or a forklift truck
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Duties involve regular repetitive light, medium and heavy lifting
- Attention to detail
- Good communitarian skills
- Organised and hardworking, with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to learn in-house computer system
- Practical, common sense person with a methodical approach
